Why did you choose to pursue an MBA?
As a classical musician and educator, I chose the MBA path to build the skills necessary for a career in arts leadership and non-profit management. The performing arts space in particular faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities in 2018. I am passionate about applying my experiences from the classroom and concert hall to the larger community. With the Booth MBA, I would like to help arts organizations expand their audiences, engage deeply with their communities, and develop new financial strategies for sustainable growth.
What are you most excited about in regards to the Civic Scholars Program?
The Civic Scholars are diverse and highly accomplished. Despite this diversity of backgrounds (or perhaps through it), the Scholars share a common passion for excellence in serving and improving lives. It is this rare combination that excites me most. I am excited to learn from my fellow Scholars, and to see how their experiences might shape and inspire my own path.
