Program Information

The Civic Scholars Program, designed for exceptional, impact-driven professionals who work in a 501(c) nonprofit or government organization, provides significant tuition awards to candidates pursuing Chicago Booth’s Full-Time MBA, Evening MBA or Weekend MBA Programs. Recipients of the award, known as Neubauer Civic Scholars, are supported by the Neubauer Family Foundation.

Neubauer Civic Scholars experience the same academic programming, rigor, and flexibility as all other Booth MBA students. In addition, scholars have specialized programming, dedicated faculty, and networking opportunities such as round-table discussions with prominent leaders in the public and nonprofit sectors and development seminars.

Influential Network

As a Neubauer Civic Scholar you will be with a close-knit group of fellow public and social sector professionals throughout your MBA journey. Together, you will be a supportive network of scholars who will help and encourage each other to grow personally and professionally.

As a student in the Full-Time MBA, Evening MBA, or Weekend MBA Program, you will broaden your network and meet professionals who work in different roles and fields. To add to your student community, you’ll have access to over 54,000 Chicago Booth alumni worldwide.

Critical Thinking

At Booth, we emphasize analyzing problems, generating key insights, and implementing innovative solutions. Faculty stress the importance of asking critical questions and leveraging analytical frameworks to tackle complex problems. Booth students have opportunities to complement their education with courses to build social sector expertise. You'll gain a superior ability and confidence to bring about clarity in situations where there are no predetermined answers.

Career Impact

In addition to having one of the largest Career Services teams among all MBA programs, our students become well equipped to have an immediate impact in their organizations. They learn how to confidently think through problems, implement vetted solutions, and bring others along in a way that guides an organization to success.

  • 86% of Evening MBA and Weekend MBA students seeking a career change made one after graduation
  • 96% of Full-Time MBA students received a job offer within 3 months of graduation
