Immanuel Thangaraj, AB ’92, MBA ’93
Mr. Thangaraj has 25 years of experience in venture capital. Since 1996, he has been with Essex Woodlands, one of the largest healthcare-dedicated investment firms with portfolios spanning companies from all stages and sectors of health care. Recently he founded Park Lane Ventures, a spinout of the venture activities of Essex Woodlands and remains a Managing Director of both organizations. Mr. Thangaraj began his venture career in 1992 as an Associate at ARCH Venture Partners.
Mr. Thangaraj serves on a number of public and private corporate and non-profit boards. At the University of Chicago, he is currently Co-chair of the Council on Booth and a member of the Councils for the College and the Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship.
He was the 2003 recipient of Chicago Booth’s Distinguished Young Alumni Award. Mr. Thangaraj holds an AB and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
