Chicago Booth MBA
and PhD Graduation

University of Chicago Convocation

University of Chicago Convocation

Out of concern for the safety of our graduates, their families and our community during the COVID-19 crisis, the 533rd Convocation and the Chicago Booth MBA and Ph.D. Graduation ceremonies will not be held in June as originally planned. We understand that these ceremonies are a paramount experience for many of our graduates and are disappointed that ceremonies will be different from past years.

A virtual Convocation will be held by the University on June 13 to confer degrees. Physical diplomas will be delivered to graduating students following the ceremony. Class of 2020 graduates are also invited to participate in the 534th Convocation ceremonies in June 2021.

We look forward to honoring and celebrating Chicago Booth graduates this spring and in-person at a future date. Alternative ceremonies and celebrations are currently being explored with input from student committees. Please check this web page in the coming weeks for updates on events and celebrations for the Class of 2020.
