As a participant you will have the opportunity to meet with one of the Executive-in-Residence in a small (4-5 participants) group coaching session. You will be able to indicate the executives you'd like to meet with for the small group coaching session and the times when you can be available to meet with the executives.

William Furr serves as chief financial officer of Hilltop Holdings. Mr. Furr has more than 15 years of experience in financial roles.

Mr. Furr joined Hilltop Holdings in 2016 as chief financial officer.  He oversees all accounting and finance functions for Hilltop at the holding company level, including accounting, tax, external reporting, treasury, financial planning and analysis, capital planning, stress testing, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.

Mr. Furr joined Hilltop from Cleveland-based KeyCorp, where he served as executive vice president, community bank CFO.  Previously, he served in various financial leadership roles at Regions Financial Corporation and Bank of America Corporation.

Mr. Furr received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in finance from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago.

Vic Mehren is the Chief Operating Officer of Mars Wrigley Confectionery U.S., part of the world’s largest manufacture of chocolate, confections, gum and mints. In his role, Vic oversees ongoing strategic and business operations across an organization of nearly 6,000 Associates, supporting a multi-billion dollar portfolio of iconic global brands that include M&M’S®, SNICKERS®, SKITTLES®, STARBURST®, ORBIT® and ALTOIDS®.

Vic began his career at Wrigley in 2002 as part of sales, and held a variety of roles before transitioning to marketing in 2005. After that, he successfully led the launch of the 5 GUM® brand in 2006. In 2011, he led marketing strategy and execution for Wrigley’s entire gum portfolio, and later moved on to be the General Manager of both Mars Chocolate in Canada as well as Mars Ice Cream and Snacks, building a strong track record of driving profitable growth in both businesses. Most recently, Vic was the General Manager for Wrigley U.S. where he was responsible for strategy, marketing, sales and supply chain for the multi-billion dollar segment of fruity confections, gum and mints.

Prior to joining Mars, Vic held a variety of sales, category management and customer marketing positions with E&J Gallo Winery, PowerBar and Imagicast, a technology start-up. His expertise is well-respected and sought-after in the consumer goods industry.

Vic holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Eastern Illinois University and a MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Kate Manfred serves as Senior Vice President and General Manager, Student Loans at Discover Financial Service. Previous to her current position Ms. Manfred, beginning in 2014, led the brand communications, advertising, sponsorship and consumer insights organization for Discover as Senior Vice President of Brand and Insights.

Ms. Manfred joined Discover from The Boston Consulting Group (1995 - 2009) , where she served as Associate Director and Global Leader of the Center for Consumer and Customer Insights focusing on developing innovative market research methodologies; recruiting, training and developing a team of experts; maintaining a world-class cadre of vendors; and driving ground breaking insights that are grounded in economic and strategic drivers of the business for each client.

Ms. Manfred received a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a Master of Business Administration from th University of Chicago Booth School of Business

 

Mr. Kenneth D. Sweder, also known as Ken, serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SouthernCarlson, Inc. since January 2018. He served as Chief Executive Officer at Interline Brands Inc. since January 15, 2016 till January 2018. Previously, at Interline Brands Inc. Mr. Sweder served as the President from February, 2011 to January, 2016 and Chief Operating Officer from October, 2008 to January, 2016.

He also served as the Executive Vice President of Interline Brands from October 2008 to February 2011. Mr. Sweder joined Interline Brands as Chief Merchandising Officer on April 30, 2007 and served until October 2008. He served as First Vice President for Property Operations Strategy of Equity Residential Properties from June 2004 to April 2007.

Prior to Equity Residential, Mr. Sweder served as a Management Consultant of Bain & Company from June 2000 to May 2004 and specialized in distribution and supply chain management. Prior to Bain & Company, Mr. Sweder served nine years at PNC Bank in various capacities from July 1991 to May 2000 including Vice President of National Corporate Banking for three years. He served as a Director of Interline Brands Inc. from September 7, 2012 to August 2015.

Mr. Sweder has an MBA from The University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and an undergraduate degree from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
