Hiring International Students
International candidates bring valuable skills and perspectives to the companies that hire them. A sizable percentage of our MBA and PhD students come to us from beyond the United States, giving you access to a robust hiring pool of international candidates.
Our international students typically hold F-1 (foreign student) or J-1 (exchange visitor student) visas, allowing them to work in the United States as summer interns without submitting paperwork.
To hire an international student for full-time employment, you, along with the student, may petition for an H1-B visa through the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services. An H1-B visa provides coverage for three years of professional employment and may be extended for an additional three years.
Some students also use provisions for practical training periods (Curricular Practical Training and/or Optional Practical Training) to cover the gap between their start of work and the next H1-B cycle.
