Chief Marketing Officer
Morgan Flatley has a reputation for building iconic brands and leading integrated, award-winning marketing programs, as well as insight-driven innovations that respond to the evolving landscape of consumer needs. Her intense curiosity for consumer behavior and trends both within and outside the industry fuel her creative campaigns and innovations that reach the consumer where they are and with what they need.
As chief marketing officer, Flatley plays an important role in advancing McDonald’s growth strategies and overall brand positioning. She is responsible for leading, developing, and overseeing execution of fully integrated marketing plans to drive and sustain long-term growth for McDonald’s USA, while expanding and strengthening partnerships externally and internally with franchisees, suppliers, and agency partners.
Prior to McDonald’s, Flatley held a number of leadership roles at PepsiCo, including chief marketing officer of the iconic Gatorade brand, during which time she led a customer-obsessed business strategy that helped return Gatorade to multi-year growth.
Flatley has been widely recognized with awards across the industry including one of Adweek’s “30 Most Powerful Women in Sport,” Chicago Advertising Federation’s “2016 Advertising Woman of the Year,” and Adweek’s 2015 Grand Brand Genius, the publication’s most prestigious award.
She is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Harvard Business School, and sits on the board of both the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Women’s Justice Initiative for Guatemala. Flatley is a 2017 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute and a member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network.
Flatley currently resides in Chicago with her husband and three children.
