Cofounder and Chief Strategist
Monika Black, PhD, is a certified coach, experienced consultant, and dynamic leader. Since retiring from high jump, where she was a four-time All-American and three-time captain at the University of Michigan, Black earned two Master's degrees from Ohio State University and a PhD in community psychology from DePaul University, worked as a budding executive at a nationally top-rated hospital system, and launched a nonprofit.
Known as “The Maximizer,” Black is currently the chief strategist at TandemSpring, where she catalyzes leaders into higher levels of leadership through strengths. She also serves as the chief strategy officer of DyMynd, a boutique financial empowerment firm for women, focused on helping women to unlock their emotional relationship with money. Black is also part-time faculty in the Psychology Department of DePaul University, and adjunct faculty in DePaul’s Peace, Justice, and Conflict program. She is also a committed coach for the Chicago Community Trust Cultivate Fellowship.
