Christina Van Houten, ’96
Chief Strategy Officer
Van Houten is a veteran of the technology industry, having spent two decades with some of the world’s largest firms, including Oracle, IBM, and Infor, as well as the entrepreneurial companies they acquired. Currently, Van Houten is chief strategy officer for Mimecast, a global leader in cyber-security, where she leads product, corporate development, and M&A. She has also served on the advisory boards of several emerging tech firms.
Prior to evolving into technology, Van Houten started a women’s athletic apparel brand and spent her early career doing public interest work with the US Treasury Department, DC City Government, MacArthur Foundation, and several political campaigns. She recently created a resource platform dedicated to the economic advancement and self‐reliance of women and girls called Women@Work, which includes several books and other related resources and initiatives.
Van Houten earned a BA from Georgetown and an MBA from Chicago Booth. Originally from Oklahoma, she now lives in Boston with her husband and two sons.
