Beth Brooks

Beth A. Brooks, PHD, RN, FACHE, is a national leader in administrative nursing whose contributions are grounded in service and practice and focused on improving nursing workplaces and the leadership workforce. Brooks has impacted hospitals, academic, for-profit businesses, boardrooms, and professional associations. Serving as the executive leader of a state nursing association, the board of an association for university presidents, and the governance executive committee of an advocacy association, she has shaped organizations’ strategy and member services.

As part of her doctoral research, Brooks designed a survey to improve patient care delivery organizations that has been used by faculty, students, and researchers in 20 countries. Brooks currently serves on four journal editorial boards (one outside of nursing), and impacts how nursing work life is assessed by students and scholars.

While she was president of Resurrection University, the university doubled in size while maintaining excellent student and employee outcomes with consecutive robust operating profit margins. Brooks received the 2017 Mentor Award from the American Organization of Nurse Executives in March. As the president and CEO of The Brooks Group, Brooks and her team are making sure leaders are ready for what’s next in healthcare.
