As we follow our recent alumni around the country to catch up with them in their new positions, we look to the West Coast and examine some of the paths that helped prepare our latest Booth graduates for careers in the technology space.
In 2015, over 15% of Booth’s graduating class went into technology roles. That is more than double from just five years ago. “You see a lot of big companies that are interested in having MBAs for internships and full-time employment and who are really reaching out to Booth for that,” says Sam Bordenave, ’16, program manager at Tesla.
A pivotal part of getting their full-time dream jobs was doing an internship in the Bay Area. Google, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft. The Booth MBA is represented in some of the biggest names in tech.
Last summer, we spoke with a handful of Boothie interns to get their perspective on why Booth talent is so valued in Silicon Valley and beyond. Let’s take a look back at how their summer internship experiences helped set them up for success.
