When we decided to offer optional concentrations in our executive MBA program, entrepreneurship was one of our considerations given the reputation of our Polsky Center for Entrepreneurship, the strength of our faculty in this area and the ongoing interest from our students. We recognized the value of the skills and knowledge connected to entrepreneurship and decided to develop a new core course called Entrepreneurial Strategy. This course will be taught to all of our executive MBA students globally in the final quarter of their program. We plan to use it as a capstone course in which the students can create and present business plans using the strategic skills and frameworks they develop during the program. So instead of making this important course optional, we decided that all of our executive MBA students would benefit from its being part of our core curriculum.
