Growing up running has instilled a lot of discipline in my life. I am one of those people that is up and out of bed at 5:00 in the morning to get my workout in. Running/working out helps me manage stress and creates a much needed routine while in school. A morning run is the best way to start my day because it is sometimes the only time I have to myself before getting ready for a really busy day at work, followed by school. Plus, you can’t beat a sunrise run on Lake Michigan.
I’m not the only Booth student that enjoys running. We have a group that runs together during the week, which is a great way to meet other students, talk about classes, work, what’s next, etc. The Dean has joined us for a run, as well as professors, which is a great way to engage with faculty outside the classroom and spend time discussing student life with the Dean. Check out a video from our latest run with associate dean, Glenn Sykes
