Spring 2014 graduation festivities kicked off this past weekend starting with the Dean's' Awards Celebration and Dinner for Graduating
Students. Dean's Awards Celebration is an event that everyone within the Booth community looks forward to. This event is an opportunity for students to be recognized for their academic achievement as well as for their leadership and dedication to Chicago Booth.
Awards range from the Florence Wissig Dunbar Prize for Marketing (an award that honors a graduating Evening MBA or Weekend MBA student on the basis of academic achievement, leadership, and contributions to the study of marketing at the school), and the Dean's Award of Distinction (an award that recognizes contributions while at Chicago Booth in the areas of community service, leadership, and student life), to the Road Warrior Award (an award that is presented annually to students who travel a great distance on a weekly basis for class while also playing an active role in the Booth Community). Dean Sunil Kumar, Associate Dean George Andrews, and Director of Student Services, Holly Shearer were all in attendance.
Later in the evening graduating students and guests attended the Dinner for Graduating Students, which occurs every quarter in the Evening MBA and Weekend MBA Programs. The spring graduate dinner took place at the InterContinental Hotel, located next to Gleacher Center. Graduates dined on a delectable meal
