Redefining Success in Business - meet the B Corps

Do you want to know what Ben & Jerrys, Patagonia, Ecover and Triodos Bank have in common ? They are all B Corps..

B Corp is to business what Fair Trade certification is to coffee or USDA Organic certification is to milk. B Corps are for-profit companies certified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Today, there is a growing community of more than 1,620 Certified B Corps from 42 countries and over 130 industries

The B Corp movement as a whole aims to redefine success in business – no longer are businesses to be measured as successful just by what they return to shareholders, but also by what they return to society including their employees, communities and to their environment. This is called the triple bottom line – people, planet and profit.

B Corps launched in the UK in September 2015. There are now 78 B Corps certified in the UK with a large pipeline of additional prospects.

For this event, we will have Katie Hill, Executive Director of B Lab UK tell us more about B Corps' recent launch in the UK and she will also be joined by one or several UK Certified B Corps for this presentation.
