How should executives think of pricing? In particular, how do highly successful entrepreneurs charge for products and services? Is it different than standard corporate pricing? What are the parallels and what are the contrasts?
Our speaker, an expert pricing consultant who has authored an acclaimed work on strategy, will share practical insights on selecting and implementing related best pricing practices. Focusing on value-based pricing, he will explain its key marketing and financial issues to show how the optimal path for entrepreneurs is distinct from accepted academic theory and large corporate practice. Special attention will be paid to challenges such as discounting and managing a pricing regime for competitive advantage.

Initially a research scientist in quantum mechanics followed by executive roles in software marketing, Tim applies his quantitative skills to aid a broad client base highly diversified by firm size and industry. Sought globally as a keynote speaker and workshop leader, he is the author of Pricing Strategy: Setting Price Levels, Managing Price Discounts and Establishing Price Structures and an adjunct professor of marketing and economics at DePaul U. A member of multiple professional associations and the academic advisor for a leading pricing professional certification program, Tim did his undergraduate work at Southern Methodist U. (BS in Physics and Chemistry and BA in Mathematics) and his graduate studies at the University of Chicago (PhD in Physical Chemistry and MBA in Strategy and Marketing).
