Who goes to TED Talks and why? What are the logistics, venues, opportunities and segments? What types of speakers are sought after? We will review the various TED opportunities and how to determine what makes the most sense and is the most realistic for you and your company.

What does a TED-worthy presentation look like?

You have a great idea. You've done something amazing that you are passionate about. You're a top expert in your industry. Whatever it is, you think others would benefit from your "know how". We'll discuss ideas and methods on how to elevate your public speaking skills; how to develop content that is clear and compelling plus create a presentation that dazzles.

How does speaking fit in with your marketing strategy?

While prestigious, TED Talks are not about the fame and glory. We'll explore how presentations and ideas shared can work to fit into your personal and business brand strategy.

Bob Domenz's career has been focused on helping executives launch new products and rethink new directions for their businesses and brands.

He is founder and CEO of Avenue, a B2B marketing strategy and activation firm. He has worked with a range of leading companies including Boeing, Weber Grill, IBM, Harley-Davidson, General Electric and Coca-Cola, among others.

Prior to founding Avenue, Bob led the brand strategy practice for iXL/Scient (IIXL), an agency with 23 offices and 3,500 employees worldwide. In this role he was one of nine thought leaders dedicated to creating the processes and best practices for brand, marketing and Internet strategy.

Bob graduated from Harvard Business School's Executive Management program on Brand and Marketing Strategy, is a longstanding member of the TED conference and on the organizing committee for the TEDx Midwest conference, a Kellogg Innovation Network (KIN) delegate, and participant in the Midwest Entrepreneur Forum, a nonprofit group that reviews business plans and provides consultation for startups.
