Deputy Dean of the Faculty and William H. Abbott Professor of International Business and Economics, Chicago Booth
Prof Steven J. Davis is Deputy Dean of the Faculty and William H. Abbott Professor of International Business and Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is a research associate with the National Bureau of Economic Research, senior academic fellow at the Asian Bureau of Finance and Economics Research, economic adviser to the U.S. Congressional Budget Office, member of the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Technical Advisory Committee, a visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Banks of Atlanta and Chicago, and senior research adviser with Dice Holdings, Inc. His research interests include national economic performance, job loss and unemployment, hiring and wage behavior, and public policy.

George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth, Chicago Booth
Prof Kevin M. Murphy is the George J. Stigler Distinguished Service Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He is also the first professor at a business school to be chosen as a MacArther Fellow. Prof Murphy is also a faculty research associate for the National Bureau of Economic Research. He primarily studies the empirical analysis of inequality, unemployment and relative wages as well as the economics of growth and development and the economic value of improvements in health and longevity. Prof Murphy is the author of two books and many academic articles. He received his PhD from the University of Chicago.
