We've learned of a new race being sponsored this year by Bloomberg, called the Square Mile Relay. This race is originally held in London, and Singapore is the first city outside of London to be hosting the event.
The race is scheduled to start at 6pm on Thursday, 24 October 2013 and will feature teams of 10 runners in a relay race around a one mile (1.6 km) course around The Promontory at Marina Bay. The winning team will earn a S$10,000 donation to their choice of charity listed online >
After the race, all teams can join an after-party with dinner, drinks and DJ to cap off what will no doubt be good fun for a good cause.
The Chicago Runners would like to put a team together if interest is available. Spouses and partners are welcome to join.
The cost of entry for a team of 10 people will be approximately S$100 each, which includes the after-party.
