We are pleased to invite you, along with the Stanford Alumni Club and Suhrkamp Publishing House, to a lecture with Professor Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht: "Latency: Germany after 1945".

Professor Hans Ulrich Gumbrecht explores the frame of mind in Germany after World War II and after the Holocaust: the decades after 1945 are loaded with the past; thus, the loss of values precludes a vision of the future, desirable perspectives, or any long-term goals. His approach is a fascinating mix of autobiography and historical analysis. Expect a thought provoking discussion!

The event is being held at Fürst & Iven Autorenbuchhandlung on Wednesday 20 February from 8.00pm.

Please do join us and your fellow alumni at the event.
