Event Details

For some thirty years, The Pampered Chef and its sales force of independent consultants have been helping homemakers to provide their families with quick, delicious meals. Doris launched the company to provide professional quality kitchen tools to the everyday kitchen. Capitalizing on her knowledge of food preparation and her talent for teaching, Doris amassed an inventory of what she considered to be the essential home kitchen tools, promoted them under the Pampered Chef name and began showcasing them at in-home cooking demonstrations.

The products gained popularity in the 1990s, even as many other party plan merchandisers were faltering due to changing lifestyles. The Pampered Chef expanded to Canada in 1996, to the UK in 1999 and to Germany in 2000. In 2002, Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway Corporation acquired The Pampered Chef.
