We join "Inc." magazine and Winnning Workplaces again this year to highlight Chicago businesses that have been winners in magazine's annual Top Small Company Workplaces competition. Each year, the owners and employees of these unique companies join us to describe workplaces where employees are listened to, empowered and motivated. Come hear some of this year's winners tell their stories. You will not believe how much their employees enjoy going to work.

Exit I-88 at Naperville Road. At end of exit ramp, turn south (left turn if coming from the East) onto Freedom Drive. Go to "T" (Diehl Road) and turn right onto Diehl Road. Go 2-3 blocks. Northern Illinois' building will be on your left, across from the Hampton Inn. Turn left into driveway at west end of building to park. Enter middle door.

Inc. magazine conducts a competition each year to select the Top Small Company Workplaces. An Evanston organization, Winning Workplaces, assists Inc. in choosing the companies to be considered from thousands of applicants from across the U.S.
These are truly amazing companies that involve their employees in all aspects of the management. Hear both the owners and the employees talk about how they work together to build strong businesses and inspiring places to work. The winners for the 2011 competition will be announced in the June issue of Inc. magazine
