Event Details
The president of Rihaku, Mr Yuichiro Tanaka, and sake sommeilier Kyoko Nagano are looking forward to our visit. More information about the brewery is available at https://sake-rihaku.com/. While the event is being sponsored by the New York club, we are hoping that other cities will join in.
The agenda for the evening is as follows:
Tasting and tour: 30 min, Q&A: 15 min, Socializing on our own 30-45 minutes
Rihaku has arranged for us to receive tasting size bottles (300 ml each) of their Wandering Poet and Dreamy Clouds brews. Supply is limited, so please order soon and at least a week before the event to be sure that your sake sampler arrives in time.
Logistics are as follows:
1. Register and pay for your sake here through Cvent, cost includes shipping.
2. Reach out to Paul Willenberg at his liquor store in Oregon. Paul is coordinating shipments from Japan to us and will need your home address or the address of where you would like your sake sent.
3. You can email Paul at namazakepaul@gmail.com or call him at 425-443-0269. When you do, please let him know that you are part of University of Chicago.
