This event is co-organized by the University of Chicago Alumni Club of France and The Chicago Booth Alumni Club of France, open to AUC members.

Michelle Zancarini-Fournel is a specialist in French contemporary history with a focus on the working class. She was a co-founder of the journal Clio, Femmes, Genre, Histoire, France's leading gender history journal. Her published works include L'Histoire des femmes en France XIXe-XXe siècle (PUR, 2005), Le Moment 68, une histoire contestée, (Seuil, 2008), Les Luttes et les rêves. Une histoire populaire de la France de 1685 à nos jours (Zones / La Découverte, 2016), and more recently Une histoire nationale est-elle possible ? (Presses universitaires de Bordeaux et de Pau, 2018). She also co-edited with Philippe Artières 68 une histoire collective (Paris, La Découverte, 2008).
