Event Details

On Saturday afternoon, we will visit the Mercedes-Benz automobile exhibition and learn about the automobile history of the last century. With Germany's automobile industry facing increasing challenges from environmental regulators as well as innovative producers of electric vehicles emerging in the US (Tesla) and Asia (e.g. Geely), we will then discuss "the future of mobility" with an automobile expert. In the evening, we will enjoy a 1 Michelin Star menu at the Goldberg Restaurant. On Sunday, we will explore Stuttgart during a guided tour and finish the event with a traditional Swabian meal. Please find more information as well as the registration form attached.

Stuttgart, state capital of Baden-Württemberg, is the cradle of Germany's automobile industry and home to the headquarters of Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and numerous suppliers like Bosch. It is also (in)famous for its city-shaping railway project "Stuttgart 21", where the main station is converted into an underground through-station to shorten travel times. In addition to this, the city is the centre of the important Württemberg wine area and boasts the most productive mineral springs in Europe after Budapest. Stuttgart is also an art city, with a State Gallery best known for its impressive collection of 20th-century paintings and a well-known ballet company.
