Megan Morgan (Panelist) '06

Megan Morgan is Senior VP - Head of Equity & Index Sales for the Americas at Eurex, one of the world's leading derivatives exchanges. Megan started at Eurex in 2011 and spearheaded the Exchange's successful efforts to grow the VSTOXX® futures market as Head of VSTOXX® Global Sales. Prior to Eurex, Megan worked for European Climate Exchange, where she built US-participation in the EU Carbon Market. Megan holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Recently, Megan launched One Refugee Child, a project-based non-profit helping Syrian refugee children.

Mr. Mawji is Co-CEO and Head of Research. Paragon Intel provides radical transparency around management teams to help clients determine whether management will create or destroy shareholder value. Mr. Mawji developed his investment expertise over 20+ years in investment, operating, and advisory roles. As CIO of Dentonia Park Capital Management, he successfully implemented special situations and alpha short strategies over a seven year period. Previously, Karim held Portfolio Manager and Analyst roles at a Morgan Stanley internal hedge fund, Scout Capital, Perennial Investors, and Healy Circle Capital. Karim built the foundation of his investment career as an M&A and Restructuring banker, where in addition to traditional advisory roles, he operated troubled companies to turn them around.

Dr. Arun Verma joined the Bloomberg Quantitative Research group in 2003. Prior to that, he earned his Ph.D from Cornell University in the areas of computer science and applied mathematics. At Bloomberg, Arun's work initially focused on Stochastic Volatility Models for pricing & hedging Derivatives & Exotic financial Instruments. More recently, he has enjoyed working at the intersection of diverse areas such as data science, cross-asset quantitative finance models and machine learning & AI methods to help reveal embedded signals in traditional & alternative data.

Sachin Roopani is the Global Business Manager for Data Strategy at Bloomberg LP. Sachin leads new data initiatives and strategy at Bloomberg which includes creating and successfully launching new data driven products for the Bloomberg ecosystem including 100s of 3rd party, industry and alternative datasets. Over the last 12 years Sachin has built many complex offerings including Bloomberg's market leading Healthcare suite and index estimates platform. Sachin graduated from Rutgers University with a BS in Food Biotechnology and a BA in Economics.

Mr. Peters is the Chief Risk Officer of OC Private Capital, a joint venture between The Carlyle Group and OppenheimerFunds. Previously Andrew was Risk Manager at Avenue Capital, a distressed credit alternative manager where he measured and monitored risk in portfolios of private credit, private equity, high yield bonds and derivatives. Andrew was also responsible for risk oversight of valuation and liquidity management. Prior to Avenue, Andrew was Director of Pricing and Analytics at Chatham Financial, a risk management consultancy. Andrew earned an MBA with honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

Frances Tong is a Senior Data Analyst on the Investment Mandates team at Bloomberg. She plays a key role in connecting institutional investors with alternative investment managers seeking capital. Frances is also responsible for generating news insights through the Bloomberg News organization, reports on alternative investments and organizes and speaks on these topics at industry conferences.

Prior to Bloomberg, Frances worked at Mizuho Securities in Hong Kong in Asian Equity Sales. Frances received her undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and is currently pursuing her Executive MBA at Columbia University in New York City.
