Strong relationships are crucial for success, particularly in a difficult economy, yet the practical skills of relationship-building are too often overlooked. As a continuation of the Rain Making Series that was hosted by Gary Pines of Harding and Company, the Chicago Booth Alumni Club offers this hands-on discussion group to help alumni become more effective at relationship building for business development, managerial effectiveness, sales or job hunting. Each month specific pre-readings are posted to help participants prepare for the discussion as well as provide guidance on how to build an effective network and how to interact to develop their networking techniques. Participants will be encouraged to share best practices and support each other in attaining the results they desire. Accordingly, this program will be of greatest value to those participants who are prepared to take action to maximize the value of their relationship networks.
