We are holding another sailing event on July 19, 2008. We have 24 opens spots for four boats. As always, spouses/significant others welcome. Spaces will be reserved on a first come basis.

Event Details

We will meet at the club in the morning and depart for an exciting and adventurous sail on the San Francisco Bay to Angel Island where we will stop for a picnic lunch. Then, if the winds are fair, we will sail out to the Golden Gate Bridge, and past Alcatraz Island for a spectacular view the S.F. cityfront. The views are not to be missed! We will come back to the club in the late afternoon and have a fabulous BBQ dinner! Meet at club at 8:30 am so we can start promptly at 9:00 am to board the boat. We will be sailing from the OCSC Sailing Club at the Berkeley Marina (www.ocscsailing.com) We will gather in front of the club office (where the front desk is located). You can rent your life preservers, waterproof jackets and pants from the club for a nominal fee. $10.00 for all gear. Free coffee/hot cocoa/tea in the morning. Bring your own brown bag lunch/picnic. BBQ dinner after our sail is included, sponsored by OCSC sailing club. Free beer and wine at the apres-sail BBQ. Club has a small store, you can buy t-shirts, sunglasses, sunscreen, hats, other sailing gear. Sailing experience is not necessary - beginners as well as experts are welcome! Each boat will be skippered by a qualified sailor. The cost is $70 per person for the boat rental. Additionally, please note that you will need to rent life preserver and waterproof jacket on site for $10.00
