Lisa Hess (Speaker) '78
President and Managing Partner, SkyTop Capital Management

Lisa is a Trustee of TIAA (Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association) and serves on the Board of Directors of Radian Group, Inc. From 2002-2008 she was the Chief Investment Officer of Loews Corporation, responsible for all the non-control investments of Loews and its subsidiaries. Assets consisted of three separate pools of capital: $40 billion for CNA, a multi-line insurance company; $8 billion in holding company investments; and $2 billion in pension funds. Prior to her career at Loews, Lisa was a Founding Partner of Zesiger Capital Group, a diversified money manager dedicated to investing across all asset classes. She has served on the boards and investment committees of the WT Grant Foundation and the Chapin School. She was previously Vice President of the Board of the Browning School and a member of the board of the Pomfret School. She has served on several Visiting Committees of Harvard University. Professional honors include serving on the United States Treasury Debt Advisory Committee, 1996-2002, and the Federal Reserve Bank of New York Investors Advisory Committee. She received her MBA from the University of Chicago and her A.B. from Harvard College. From 2002-2010 Lisa wrote a regular column for Forbes entitled "Absolute Return."
