According to Prequin data, private equity coffers reached a record high of $1.073 trillion globally at the end of 2013, which is $130 billion more than 2012. That amount has continued to balloon to $1.141 trillion globally at the start of June. That is a lot of dry powder competing for assets to acquire. Professor Steven Kaplan will moderate a panel and question whether the best days for private equity firms are in the past or if they still lie ahead.

Panelists:

  • Steven N. Kaplan, Neubauer Family Professor of Entrepreneurship and Finance at Booth
  • Andrew W. Rice, Senior VP of International Business at The Jordan Company
  • Ian G. Ross, Principal with Concentric Equity Partners
  • Corey Ryan, Director in William Blair's Industrial group and a leader of its Industrial Technology effort
