Aaron Brown (Panelist)
Risk Manager, AQR Capital
Aaron Brown is risk manager at AQR Capital Management and the current Global Association of Risk Professionals Risk Manager of the Year. He is the author of Red-Blooded Risk, The Poker Face of Wall Street and A World of Chance. In his 32 year Wall Street career he has been a trader, portfolio manager, head of mortgage securities and risk manager for institutions including Citigroup and Morgan Stanley. He also served a stint as a finance professor and was one of the top professional poker players in the world during the 1970s and 80s. He holds degrees in Applied Mathematics from Harvard and Finance and Statistics from the University of Chicago.
Ray Iwanowski (Panelist)
Managing Principal, SECOR Asset Management
Ray Iwanowski a Managing Principal of SECOR Asset Management, LP and Co-Founder of SECOR Capital Advisors, LP. Prior to founding SECOR, Ray was co-Chief Investment Officer of the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) group at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) for 11 of the 12 years he spent at GSAM. Before that, Ray worked at Salomon Brothers as head of the Fixed Income Derivatives Client Research Group and member of the Bond Portfolio Analysis Research Group, and at First Boston in the Fixed-Income Portfolio Strategies Group. Ray earned a B.S. and B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1988, an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and reached candidacy in the Ph.D. program in finance at the University of Chicago.
Victor Khosla (Panelist)
Founder and Chief Investment Officer, Strategic Value Partners
Victor Khosla is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Strategic Value Partners. The firm manages about $4 billion in hedge fund and private equity assets, and focuses on distressed and deep value opportunities. It has offices in the US, Europe and Japan. Mr. Khosla established SVP in 2001. Previously he ran about $2 billion in proprietary capital for Merrill Lynch, was President of Cerberus Capital and ran a joint venture with Moore Capital in Japan. Mr. Khosla has a Bachelors in Commerce (with Honors) from Delhi University, an M.A. in Economics from Vanderbilt University, and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
Ludger Hentschel, Ph.D (Panelist)
Managing Director of Research, MSCI
Ludger Hentschel, Ph.D is a Managing Director of Research at MSCI. Ludger and his team conduct research into alternative investment strategies, asset allocation, and liquidity in order to help MSCI's clients improve their investment results. Prior to joining MSCI, Ludger worked for alternative and traditional investment firms and was a professor of Finance. Ludger earned a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yale.
Gilbert Ong (Moderator)

Gilbert Ong is a Vice President in the hedge fund group at MSCI. Prior to joining MSCI, he worked as a Quantitative Analyst, Equity and Credit Research Analyst, and CDO structure and rating analyst in Asia and the US. Gilbert holds an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, a MA in Statistics from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Accounting (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is also a CFA charterholder.
