Understanding user behavior, needs and expectations from a product, in the context of its use, is a key differentiator in designing a winning user experience and product design. This presentation will demonstrate a case study on how the Global Design organization at GE Healthcare spent time investigating and understanding the needs of a group of clinical users to understand their workflow and identify their unmet needs. Insight obtained from the design research effort allowed the Interaction Design Team to redesign the User Interface of a leading imaging product to have a fresh, compelling and easy to use user experience, allowing its users to improve on the patient experience.
