Event Details

High youth unemployment is endemic in many parts of the world. Plus, the labor force in parts of the world is set to increase from 50% (China) to 100% (sub-Saharan Africa) in some countries by 2050. Many people believe entrepreneurship can be an economic engine to help solve widespread unemployment and economic malaise. Many tools and indices have been developed by economists to help measure how various countries compare in their creation and support of new business enterprises. Join us for a group discussion on entrepreneurship as an economic engine, generally, as well as its role in absorbing “excess” labor. Please read the brief articles below so you can more fully participate in the discussion. (Box lunches from Corner Bakery will be provided.)
