Event Details
The aim of this insightful and interactive series is to enable our community to develop shared insights and 'ways of leading with awareness that arises through paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment, and non-judgmentally' (Kabat-Zinn, 1994).
We hope you can join us as the first in the series is a focus on the much talked about Impostor Syndrome. Featuring a Fireside chat between our very distinguished alumni, Sunil 'Sonny' Garg, and current Executive MBA student, Azizah Mohammed, this will be followed by breakout sessions for more in-depth and mutually-supportive conversations on the subject matter.

Sunil 'Sonny' Garg (Speaker) '00
Executive-in-Residence, Chicago Booth
An experienced senior executive and board member, Sonny has over 25-years of experience in strategically examining conventional thinking to transform mature organizations and to create new enterprises within the private, public, and non-profit sectors. His professional experience spans three major stages. The first stage was within government and policy, beginning at Chapin Hall Center for Children at the University of Chicago, and later becoming an Assistant to Chicago Mayor Richard Daley and then being appointed a White House Fellow by President Clinton and serving as a senior aide to the Deputy Director of the Office of Management & Budget. His next stage was with Exelon Corporation, a Fortune 100 company, leading various departments, including being the President of Exelon Power and later the Chief Information & Innovation Officer, while also serving on the Executive Committee. Sonny's current stage has been with venture-backed companies, including launching and growing the Energy Division at Uptake Technologies, and advising seed stage companies. He is a Henry Crown Leadership Fellow at the Aspen Institute, serves on the boards of The Invisible Institute, the Institute for Nonviolence Chicago and the Chicago Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and is an Executive in Residence at the Booth School's Rustandy Center. Sonny has a B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Chicago and an M.P.P. from Harvard University.
Azizah Mohamed (Speaker) '23
Quantitative Market Intelligence Leader, Baker Hughes
Quantitative Market Intelligence Leader at Baker Hughes in Houston, Texas. She has 11 years of experience at Baker Hughes spanning a multitude of functions ranging from R&D, digital processes, and strategy. Working in an advisory capacity to the executive leadership team, her current focus is on generating strategic insights, quantitative models, and thought leadership through bespoke industry analyses within the industrial, digital, and energy transition sectors. Azizah has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a graduate degree in Subsea Engineering, both from the University of Houston. A current student in the Executive MBA Program in Chicago, and member of the Student Partnership Council.
