Lynn Hazan is a 26-year industry veteran who launched Lynn Hazan & Associates, Inc. (LH&A) in January 2000. LH&A is an executive recruitment and consulting firm in Chicago specializing in communications, marketing and consulting, with a special emphasis on Chicago and the Midwest. LH&A represents clients in hi-tech, consulting, telecommunications, insurance, health care, financial and professional services, advertising, public relations and publishing. Candidates are placed in consumer, non-profit, and business-to-business sectors. Specialties include public relations, marketing and marketing communications, corporate communications, advertising, graphic design and web. Lynn was honored as a Chicagoan of the year by Chicago Jewish News in 2003.

Bradford McLane, `83 (Panelist), Russell Reynolds Associates

Brad McLane is Co-Leader of Russell Reynolds’ Marketing Officers Practice for the Americas, conducting assignments for clients who seek a strategic focus on their customers and consumers. This also encompasses CRM, consumer insights, brand management and advertising executive search work. Brad has over a decade of executive recruiting experience and joined Russell Reynolds Associates in 1998. Previously, he lived in Houston, where he was the President and Co-Founder of AccuTraffic.com. Before that, Brad was Vice President, Marketing, with Petrolon, Inc./Slick 50 Products Corporation (now part of Royal Dutch Shell), where he oversaw brand strategy and creative development for this multinational, automotive consumer products company. Earlier, Brad spent five years with the Coca-Cola Company in senior product development and marketing roles, following a five-year brand management career at Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis, Missouri. Brad received his B.A. in architecture and organizational behavior from Yale University and his M.B.A. in marketing from the University of Chicago.

Merle Tresser, `81 (Speaker), Susan Rosenstein Executive Search Limited

Merle Tresser is an executive recruiter at Susan Rosenstein Executive Search Limited, where she specializes in the recruitment of senior level executives in all areas of marketing, business communications and sales. Merle began her career in consumer package goods marketing in brand management at the Sara Lee Bakery. In almost 10 years at Alberto Culver, she worked in new product development, led the VO5 brand business, and as Director of Marketing of the Professional Hair Care Division launched TRESemmé into the retail marketplace. At Scentex, Inc., a manufacturer of home fragrance products, Merle was Vice President of Marketing. Earlier, Merle worked in corporate communications, with McGraw Edison and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Illinois. Merle earned her MBA degree from the University of Chicago, an MA in English Literature and Education from the University of Massachusetts and a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Illinois. She has served as a board member of the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group, and volunteers with the Arts and Business Council of Chicago.
