The Chicago Booth has arranged with the AMC Theater-River East Self parking Garage to provide discounted parking:
300 East Illinois Street (AMC Theater-River East Self Park Garage) $6.00 after 3:00pm
Garage: Self Park Facility
Payment: Automated; at pay-stations by cash or credit card or upon exit pay by credit card only.
To receive discounted rate: There is a card validator at the first floor security desk of the Gleacher Center. The new system for the AMC Theater- River East Self Park Garage is automated. You will only need to insert your parking card in the validator and the new price will be automatically applied. You can validate your parking ticket at any time between your arrival at and departure from the Gleacher Center. When you leave the lot you will be charged for the lower $6.00 fee.
Event Details
Jerry Groen, Vice President, Innovation Center, Hospira, will discuss how Hospira is identifying and developing the process, culture and change necessary to drive innovation and heighten the company’s ability to create and deliver new customer value in the marketplace. His presentation will include the importance of driving innovation in support of Hospira’s business strategy and guiding principles, and accelerating innovation through functional and geographic collaboration at all levels, functions and locations of the company. Jerry will speak about his experiences in establishing the Innovation Center and its sub-teams, engaging employees in year one, implementing a customer-centered approach, and anticipating how the Innovation Center’s purpose and objectives will change in the years to come.

Jerry Groen, Vice President, Innovation Center, Hospira a global specialty pharmaceutical and medication delivery company dedicated to Advancing Wellness.™ In his position, Jerry is responsible for identifying the processes, culture and change necessary to heighten Hospira’s focus on innovation to create and deliver new customer value in the marketplace.
Prior to assuming his current position in late 2007, Jerry was director, Strategic Programs, a role he held since the company’s spin-off from Abbott Laboratories in 2004.
Jerry has held a variety of roles during a 32-year career. He has worked in Information Technology, Operations, Research & Development and Human Resources, gaining significant experience in change management, process improvement and program management. Jerry has used his experience to teach courses in each of these areas and is a frequent speaker on topics including new product development, project management and teams, and new product development metrics.
Jerry is a new product development professional (NPDP) through PDMA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics at Fairfield University, and a master’s degree in management from Northwestern University.
