Rebecca Patterson (Panelist)
Managing Director, Chief Investment Officer, Bessemer Trust

Rebecca is a managing director and chief investment officer for the Bessemer Trust Companies. In that capacity, she has overall responsibility for investments, including asset allocation, strategic portfolio direction, and research. She is chair of the Investment Policy and Strategy Committee and a member of the Management Committee.

Prior to joining Bessemer, Rebecca was Chief Markets Strategist at J.P. Morgan Asset Management. In that role, she headed the global client advisory group and was a member of the private bank's investment committee. She joined J.P. Morgan as an investment bank research analyst and later became the global head of foreign exchange and commodities for the private bank, working in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Prior to her career at J.P. Morgan, Rebecca was a journalist who covered politics, economics, and financial markets for Dow Jones and the Associated Press in the U.S. and Europe.

She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR), the New York Federal Reserve's Foreign Exchange Committee, the Economic Club of New York, the University of Florida Investment Corporation's Advisory Board, and the Committee of 200. Additionally, she is a regular CNBC contributor. American Banker named her one of "The 25 Most Powerful Women in Finance" in 2014 and 2015, and Private Asset Management recognized her efforts in the industry as one of the "50 Most Influential Women in Private Wealth" in 2015.

Rebecca earned a B.S. in journalism from the University of Florida, an M.A. in international relations from The Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and an M.B.A. from New York University.

Richard Lindquist (Panelist) '86
Managing Director and Head of the High Yield Fixed Income Team, Morgan Stanley Investment Management

Richard is head of the High Yield Fixed Income team at Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He joined the firm in 2011 and has 33 years of investment experience. Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Richard was a managing director and co-head of U.S. High Yield at Guggenheim Partners responsible for portfolio management, asset gathering, client service and overseeing all high yield trading.

Previously, he was a managing director and head of the U.S. and Global High Yield Fixed Income team responsible for managing the firm's high yield assets for pension funds, mutual funds and insurance companies, as well as globally marketing the strategy and servicing existing high yield clients at both HSBC Halbis Partners (HSBC Global Asset Management) and Credit Suisse Asset Management. Richard received a B.S. in finance from Boston College and an M.B.A. in finance from the University of Chicago. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.

Peter McNally (Panelist) '98
Senior Energy Analyst, Kingdon Capital Management

Peter McNally is the senior analyst covering energy for Kingdon Capital Management in New York where he is responsible for both energy equities and commodities. He has spent almost two decades on the buy side covering the energy industry as an analyst and portfolio manager, and he has travelled across four continents to perform field research. Prior to joining Kingdon, Peter was a Managing Director and Portfolio Manager at Galleon Management where he lead the cyclicals team covering energy, industrials and basic materials. Previously, he worked in an analyst role at ING Investments and Bankers Trust Global Investment Management. He serves on the Energy Dialogues Executive Board of the Columbia Center for Global Energy Policy and has attended OPEC meetings. Peter received a BA, cum laude, in Economics and Spanish from Bucknell University in 1993 where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and an International MBA from the University of Chicago in 1998.

Spencer Lampert (Panelist)
Retired Partner, Tudor Investments

Spencer recently retired from Tudor Investment Corporation after nearly 30 years in which he had a variety of responsibilities for the firm. For the past 17 years, Spencer was a Senior Portfolio Manager for the firms' premier global macro fund, the Tudor BVI Global Fund. In addition to managing the firms' assets and interfacing with investors, Spencer served as a Portfolio Manager and Investment Committee member for the Tudor Discretionary Macro fund, a recently launched fund with AUM in excess of $1 billion.

Prior to his tenure as a senior portfolio manager, Spencer spent seven years as both the Global Head of Research as well as the Head of Trading Strategy for the firm's Founding Partner, Paul Tudor Jones.  Spencer began his career with Tudor as the Co-Head of Equity Trading, initiating the firm's trading of global equities. 

Steven Geovanis (Panelist)
Chief Risk Officer, Lyxor Inc.

Steven Geovanis has served as Chief Risk Officer at Lyxor Inc. since 2007. From 2004 to 2006, he was Head of Macro Trading (and a Founding Partner) at Citigroup's Tribeca Hedge Fund. From 2001 to 2004, Steven was Head of Market Risk for the Americas at HSBC and a member of HSBC's Asset and Liability Committee. He was also a Founding Partner of Summit Capital where he worked from 1996 to 1998, and was responsible for foreign exchange trading and market risk. Steven spent most of his career, from 1984 to 1996, at Merrill Lynch where he ran Global Foreign Exchange Trading and served as President of Merrill Lynch International Bank. While at Merrill Lynch, he also headed the Global Currency and Bond Option Desks.

Steven received his B.A. from Harvard University in 1977 and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania in 1981.

Gilbert Ong (Moderator) '09
Senior Director, TIAA

Gilbert Ong is a Senior Director in the Investment Risk and Strategy group at TIAA, where he is responsible for modeling and setting limits for a range of asset classes such as Commercial Real Estate, Agriculture, Timber and Private Equity.

Prior to joining TIAA, Gilbert was an Executive Director in the hedge fund consulting group at MSCI responsible for $6 million annual revenue and also managed the Americas Risk Management Analytics Presales Team which worked on $11 million of deals. Over the past 17 years, Gilbert has also served as Quantitative Analyst/Strategist at hedge fund, Platinum Partners, lead Asia structured credit analyst at Fitch Ratings and CIBC World Market and as a quantitative credit portfolio manager at UOB/OCBC Asset Management. Gilbert started his career in Asian Equity Research in Salomon Smith Barney. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a MA in Statistics from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Accounting (Honors) from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
