Event Details

Spring Summit, A rendezvous of like-minded individuals for professional development and intellectually stimulating discussions. We pick a different topic every year and invite a panel or a speaker to discuss the topic. This year's topic is Entrepreneurship.

We have a fantastic panel of Booth women who are entrepreneurs. Come hear the inside story of what it's really been like for them, ask questions in a relaxed environment, and maybe even get inspired for what's next.

Krisztina created the Revolution Intensive, an annual 3-day festival that fosters selfless service, integrity and collaboration among global leaders leaders. Krisztina is a championship tennis player and enjoys spending time with her dog, Davey.

She holds an M.B.A from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a B.A from University of California at Berkeley. Nancy Hayes is an angel investor and mentor/coach to entrepreneurs. She cofounded MoolaHoop, a crowdfunding site for women with small businesses. She left the IBM Corporation as a senior executive after 20 years and became CEO of two nonprofits, one serving seriously ill children and the other the elderly. She was Dean of the College of Business at San Francisco State University for 6 years and CFO of the university for 2 years.

Marguerite Manteau-Rao ('82 GSB) is the Co-Founder of Neurocern, a digital health startup that is based in Palo Alto. With the Neurocern team, Marguerite is on a mission to improve health care for the 25 million patients and families affected by dementia. Marguerite just published a new book, 'Caring for a Loved One with Dementia', and is a Huffington Post contributor. Before Neurocern, Marguerite developed the Mindfulness-Based Dementia Care approach to training dementia caregivers, a program that has been taught and researched at leading academic institutions. Besides her MBA from Booth, Marguerite also has an MS in Industrial Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Paris, and a Master in Social Work from Loyola University of Chicago.

Laura Yang Renner is the founder of Freedom Makers, a virtual assistance service that creates mobile employment opportunities for military spouses. She graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy with a bachelor's of science in English and a minor in Chinese-Mandarin. Laura served as a Public Affairs officer before leaving the Air Force to earn an International MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. She has worked for nearly fifteen years dealing directly with people, whether in public relations, foreign relations, education or human resources. Laura enjoys traveling, running and story-worthy adventures.

Pree Walia is a co-founder and CEO of Preemadonna and the inventor of the Nailbot. She spent four years working at high growth hardware venture backed start-ups focused on LED lighting and building automation services. Previously, Pree raised capital, managed political outreach and worked for Steve Westly, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and other progressive campaigns between 2003-2008. She holds a MBA from the University of Chicago and a BA in History and Gender Studies from Northwestern University. She is passionate about causes that impact women and girls and is a certified volunteer domestic violence counselor and on the Advisory Board of MakerGirl.
