Identification and management of transactions with Chinese investors has become a critical part of many mergers and acquisitions, recapitalization, and startup capital advisory practices in the US. Our December 21, 2015 panel will match three representatives of Chinese investors with three experts on the small to mid-size company marketplace in the Chicago area.

Bill Price, a lawyer with growthlaw.com in Warrenville has put a panel together for us to examine who could buy companies in this area, and what types of companies and investments may be for sale.

Our inbound investment experts:

Jeffrey A. Gonyo, Principal, Geneva Glen Capital. Jeff has more than 25 years of private equity experience, most recently raising over $100 million for an acquisitions fund from a Chinese family with more than $1 billion in investable capital.

Hao He, a partner of Wilton Partners, a firm that focuses on China related cross-border M&A, pre-listing and strategy consulting. In addition to her M&A practice, Ms. He has advised China based investors interested in US angel stage deals.

Stephen Markscheid is also a partner at Wilton Partners, a Shanghai based boutique investment bank.
He serves as non-executive director of CNinsure, Inc., Jinko Solar Inc., China Ming Yang Wind Group Co. Ltd. and ChinaCast Education Corporation. Steve is also a trustee of Princeton-in-Asia.
