The European Private Equity and Investment Banking Roundtable is proud to invite you to a new business breakfast. Our guest is Dominique Vidal, a partner at Index Ventures, one of the world's leading venture capital firms, which has backed many successful companies in the high-tech and biotech sectors including Skype, Last.fm, Genmab and MySQL. Thanks to his unique background, which combines managerial responsibilities at European powerhouses like Schlumberger, investment and managerial roles in thriving e-businesses such as Kelkoo (which he co-founded and turned into a $100m company), and later Yahoo!, for which he served as CEO Europe for more than 3 years, Dominque will provide us an opportunity to get a better understanding of the different stages a company and its management team go through along a firm’s life-cycle. Dominque will address the theme “From start-up to maturity: Europe's most innovative companies as seen from a life-cycle perspective”, shading a perspective on a how a business idea is defined and tested, how funds are raised, key resources attracted, business expanded across multiple markets and possibly sold for an attractive return. In addition to this, Dominque will share his views on the current landscape and trends of the venture capital and the high-tech industries in Europe.
