Jeff Carter, Hyde Park Angels cofounder, discusses the Midwest's entrepreneurial ecosystem and interprets angel investing from the perspectives of those creating and funding firms.
Event Details
The latest annual review from "builtinchicago" (http://www.builtinchicago.org/ ) on the local start-up scene found promising conditions here, with $1+ billion of total funding up by 169% contributed by more than 70 venture capital firms from around the U.S. This favorable environment is due in good measure to the foresight and dedication of a group of Chicago Booth graduates who in 2006 formed Hyde Park Angel Network (HPA).
Entrepreneurial Roundtable members, Booth students, faculty, and alumni - $15 until December 10, then $20 until the event.
For the general public, $20 until December 10, then $25.
