Event Details

Meeting the world's demand for food will require nearly doubling food output by 2050. Doing so will inevitably mean bringing more land into production which will stress global carbon stores and aggravate global climate impacts such as floods and droughts. This will, in turn, reduce agricultural productivity. Please join Dr. Runge in his analysis of which lands can be cultivated in ways that preserve carbon stores while meeting global food needs.
