Event Details

Kristin Maschka will talk about what Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg gets right and wrong in her book "Lean In" through the lens of her own career experiences and her research on the outdated cultural assumptions that continue to negatively impact the lives of women and men, our workplaces and even our public policies.

Kristin Maschka is the author of the LA Times Bestseller, This is Not How I Thought It Would Be: Remodeling Motherhood to Get the Lives We Want Today. She runs her own consulting business, providing executive coaching to women and executive team coaching to large non-profits and public institutions. Kristin holds two degrees from the University of Chicago, AB '91 and AM '93, both in the history and philosophy of science. She is also in the UChicago Athletics Hall of Fame for Basketball. She and her
husband David Hitchcock, AB '89, live in Pasadena with their daughter Kate, who they hope will someday have an AB '22 after her name.

Whether you're looking to hire fellow Maroons, want to build your professional network or are interested in serving as a networking contact for others, please consider attending this event.
