Infrastructure assets are some of the basic building blocks of society; we all rely on these facilities to carry out our daily lives. Population growth, obsolescence of existing facilities and declining financial flexibility of governments are leading to a re-assessment as to how infrastructure related services can be provided to society. This talk will review the contemporary situation, contemplate the future possibilities and put forward some of the feasible opportunities.

Portfolio Manager for Infrastructure Debt, J.P. Morgan
Bob Dewing, a mining engineer, is the Portfolio Manager of the J.P. Morgan Infrastructure Debt Strategy, teaches Project Finance at Columbia University, is Chairman of a power development company and, with others, owns and manages a copper mine in Utah. Previously, he spent 26 years with Citi in the project finance and relationship management areas. The development of new business lines and advising/arranging a number of 'firsts' in the finance industry has earned Bob a reputation for thinking and execution 'outside the box'. He lives in New Jersey with his wife Debra (also a Chicago alum) and three progeny, one currently a Chicago undergraduate.
