Growing enterprises frequently rely on an infusion of capital from equity investors at various stages of their development. Early stage ventures typically seek Angel Investor funding to establish themselves and prove the business model. A later stage enterprise can benefit from Venture Capital to build scale and penetrate the market.

Chicago is emerging as a dynamic hub for entrepreneurship, angel investing and venture capital. The new 1871 incubator, Google Mobility, Groupon, and others are contributing to this activity. And, Hyde Park Angels, with its roots in the University of Chicago, joins a growing list of angel investor networks that are providing the funding to seed early stage ventures.

Our presentation will cover –

  • The special marketing challenges faced by early stage ventures – how to get your first customer and gain credibility in the marketplace
  • How to match your enterprise and growth plan with the ideal source of funding. Angel or Venture Capital? Equity or debt?
  • What to look for in an investor
