The University of Chicago Alumni Club in coordination with Baker & McKenzie is hosting a roundtable on the recent Spanish employment and labor law amendments, where experienced practitioners from Baker & McKenzie will explain the new modifications in an open debate.

With a current unemployment rate of 22.9% and projected unemployment of up to 26%, the recently elected Spanish government on February 10, passed emergency legislation that aims to release companies from traditional Spanish employment and labour law rules. The amendments constitute the most significant changes to employment and labour law in Spain in years and will have a considerable impact on how companies manage human resources and labour relations in Spain.
