Katie LeMasurier and Kevin Murdock will introduce you to the world of private equity, discussing such issues as: • The different types of PEGs and what they are each looking for • How to approach a PEG about your business, an opportunity or you • What one might expect from a PEG as a funding partner • What PEGs are looking for in executives seeking a company to run Katie is Vice President of Pfingsten Partners, one of the established “mid-size” PEGs in Chicago. Over its 18 years, Pfingsten has acquired 17 platform companies and 37 add-ons. With $285 million in its most recent fund, Pfingsten can make acquisitions of platform companies in its targeted value range of $25 to $100 million and smaller add-on acquisitions. Kevin Murdock is the founder and a principal of The Legacy Network, based in Chicago. Legacy Network focuses on small and mid-sized businesses, especially companies with a solid management team. Legacy seeks to build on the foundation established by the founder/owner, backing the current management team and helping that team to improve performance and sustain growth.
