He teaches business ethics in the college's undergraduate and graduate business programs. He is also co-director of B-W's newest undergraduate major in sustainability and is director of the new Institute for Sustainable Business Practice. Prior to joining the faculty at Baldwin-Wallace, he was executive director of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Policy in Chicago, a nonprofit organization that provided conferences, seminars, consulting, and research in the field of business ethics. His publications include Keeping Faith at Work: The Christian in the Workplace (Abingdon, 1994) and The Business Corporation and Productive Justice (Abingdon, 1997). His articles have appeared in Business Ethics Quarterly, Business Insights, The Christian Century, Health Management Quarterly, and The Journal of Business Ethics. He also conducts ethics and values consulting for corporations and other organizations. He was educated at Carthage College, where he received his B.A., and at the University of Chicago, where he received an M.A. in public policy studies, an M.A. in divinity, and a Ph.D. in ethics.
Patrick Conway's love affair with beer began while he was bartending to get through graduate school at the University of Chicago and continued when he left for Europe and enjoyed his own informal tour of the small breweries throughout Europe. Returning to the United States to teach in Chicago, he became convinced that Americans were gravitating toward the European style beers that he so admired.
A native Clevelander with a passion for the city that equals his passion for beer, he came back to his hometown to pursue his dream of opening the first craft brewery in Ohio. He, with the help of his brother Daniel, chose Ohio City, the urban neighborhood that is also home to the historic West Side Market.
$15/person includes presentation, reception, and one drink ticket for beer or wine. Cash bar available.
