Sue Bowman, MJ, RHIA, CCS, FAHIMA, is the Senior Director of Coding Policy and Compliance for the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). She serves as advocate, strategist, subject matter expert, and spokesperson for AHIMA and its members on national coding policy issues to advance health information quality, integrity, and interoperability. In her role, Ms. Bowman advocates for high-quality coded data and promotes adoption and proper and uniform use of code set standards globally by influencing federal policymakers regarding federal legislation/regulation impacting collection and use of clinical code sets, influencing code set development and maintenance processes at both the national and international levels, and setting national coding policy for the ICD code sets.
Ms. Bowman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Record Administration from Daemen College in Amherst, NY and a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.

He leads strategy and marketing engagements for telecommunications and medical technology companies with engagements in strategic planning, corporate strategy, marketing, and sales strategies. Amalesh has worked at and partnered with some of the top technology companies in the USA, such as Sprint, AT&T Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies, and Ciena. Amalesh currently serves as a Director and an Officer on the Board of Gateway Foundation, a $110M non-profit drug and alcohol addiction counseling service. Amalesh has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, an M.S. in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University, and a B. Engineering in Electronics and Communications from India.
