Tim Frick, owner/creative director of Mightybytes, Inc., a Chicago-based creative communications and digital media firm that creates rich user experiences to tell its clients’ stories and brand their products, will lead a workshop that offers attendees an advanced look at social media optimization for building brand awareness and digital marketing. Among other things, Tim will detail his four-pronged approach to social media optimization that includes: Strategy, On-Site, Off-Site, and The Return. Providing resources and concrete, real-world examples to facilitate the integration of these methods into a firm’s business and marketing workflow, Tim’s presentation should enable attendees to enhance their knowledge and optimize their use of advanced social media.

Tim Frick is owner/ creative director of Mightybytes, Inc., a design-driven media firm he founded in 1998. He is also an author and speaker, offering workshops and seminars that focus on design, process, technology, digital and social media and creative software. Tim, who has provided creative media services to an extensive client list since the 1990s, has received numerous creative and design awards and appeared in many publications, web sites, and TV broadcasts. Previous positions include multimedia designer/journalist for Ameritech and a stint as an adjunct instructor of interactive media at Columbia College, Chicago. He also served on the board of the Association for Multimedia Communications, the advisory committees of the Illinois Institute of Art’s Animation and Interactive Media departments, and the Interactive Media Department of Columbia College. Recent speaking engagements include: SEO for Success, Community Media Workshop; Social Media for Business, U of C Women’s Business Association, and Creating and Managing Your Online Presence, Arts and Business Council of Chicago, among others. Tim is the author of two books: Return on Engagement: Content, Strategy and Design Techniques for Digital Marketing (Focal Press, 2010) and Managing Interactive Media Projects, An Interactive Media Process Guide (Delmar-Cengage). Santanu DasGupta is a co-founder at TeleCascade Networks, a Chicago based firm that provides solutions for mobile marketing. TeleCascade’s platforms include solutions for the cross-device mobile web-applications, mobile video delivery and native iPhone and Android applications. Mr. DasGupta was previously a co-founder at Ybrant Digital, a leading digital advertising network that provides integrated marketing services to major online publishers, agencies and major brands like Cisco, SAP, Intel, Porsche, and Renault. He also worked as an engagement manager for Gartner Consulting advising Fortune 500 clients in the areas of online media, IPTV and mobile advertising. Mr. DasGupta has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, India.
